As an experienced newborn photographer in Darlington, I recommend booking within the first six weeks, when babies are naturally sleepier and more content. But if your baby is older — don’t worry. I’ll create beautiful, natural portraits that suit their stage and personality.
Every session is completely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling, and soothing. With up to three hours in the studio, everything feels calm, unhurried, and centred around your baby’s comfort.
Safety is my absolute priority. I’m fully insured, trained by leading UK newborn photography specialists, and have over 20 years of professional experience.

When you are ready to book, we can secure your session with a £50 non-refundable booking fee.
This does not include any images or products.
About a week later I will welcome you back to my studio in Darlington to view your beautiful gallery of edited images and choose your image collection.
Payment for your chosen images is due on the day of the session.
If you would like to do a payment plan Pay, 25% deposit of your order on the viewing day then either pay monthly or weekly up to the total of 3 months. (Payment plans are for orders over £299)

about your newborn SESSION
Please remember to bring extra extra milk, wipes, nappies etc; as I’m sure they will be needed.
Don’t worry if your baby cries or doesn’t want to sleep in the session, this is normal and just takes a while for them to get settled.
Your baby will be posed by me. This includes cuddling and soothing if needed. If I feel they need you for reassurance or feel you do need to settle them, of course I will hand them back to you.
You will always be in the room during the session so the baby is supervised at all times. Safety is my main priority and nothing will be done to put your baby at risk.
All items used in the session go straight in the wash after use. So there is no need to worry if the baby makes a mess on them.
Family/ mum and dad photos will be done at the end of the session if we still have time.
You are more than welcome to bring siblings to the session. The only thing I ask is if they can join in for the last hour of the session. So we have managed to get some good professional photos first. You can either bring an adult with you to keep them occupied. But the environment needs to be quiet so the newborn remains asleep.
Or you could phone the other adult to bring the children in for the last hour.
Booking a slot early is a good idea to avoid disappointment.
Even as early as the 12weeks scan is fine!
Remember this session is baby lead and this is so important. Baby’s crying or hunger cannot be controlled so we go with the flow.
I don’t like to rush your baby so please don’t plan important appointments in the same day as we may go over slightly.
Knowing the colour scheme of your home or the rooms you’re intending the photos to go into, is so important so they go with the surroundings.
Please bring any props or anything you would like in the photos as well.
